This year in celebrating Mandela Day, Retro Games team took time and offered 67 minutes to go support The Light House Baby Shelter in Johannesburg, this was an opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of the neglected children. The children were treated with a surprise lunch filled with goodies and receiving personalized gift packs.
Retro Games also donated its own Pandora’s box console to the shelter providing much needed entertainment for the children to have access to the largest and greatest games. Games give kids access to adventure and opportunities to socialize whilst instilling technical skills and promoting the world of tech.
“A global movement for positive change begins with small actions. Do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are, let’s make every day a Mandela Day.” said Mark Clarke from Retro Games.
About The Light House Baby Shelter
The Lighthouse Baby shelter was founded in June 2008 by Eleanor Dustan. Eleanor has been passionate about children all her life and as a mother having two daughters she used to take orphans into her home for holidays and weekends as they were growing up.
The need was and still is great in this country for children that have been abandoned, abused, neglected and the HIV orphans.
