Timed to Microsoft’s 50th anniversary event today, Microsoft announced several new updates for Copilot and Azure AI Foundry that will begin rolling out today and continue into the coming weeks and months.
As Microsoft steps into a new era of AI companions, here are a few Copilot update highlights:
- Enhanced Memory & Personalisation: Copilot now remembers important details from your interactions, creating richer user profiles and delivering tailored solutions. Microsoft is also experimenting with new ways to interact with Copilot, including options to change its appearance and customise it to suit your preferences.
- Take Action: With simple chat prompts, Copilot can take action on your behalf, such as booking event tickets and making dinner reservations behind the scenes.
- Deep Research: Conduct complex, multi-step research tasks more efficiently with Deep Research in Copilot, saving time and wading through complex tasks seamlessly.
As Microsoft empowers professional developers to build the future with agents, here are a few Azure AI Foundry updates:
- (Public preview) AI Red Teaming Agent: Using natural language, this agent systematically probes AI models to uncover safety vulnerabilities, helping developer teams create more robust and trustworthy AI systems.
- (General availability) Semantic Kernel agent framework: This extension of Azure AI Foundry’s open-source kit Semantic Kernel simplifies building multi-agent systems by reducing the code developers need to write and enables better coordination among multiple agents.
- (Public preview) Agentic evaluations: A feature that provides comprehensive risk and quality assessments, empowering teams to build trustworthy, compliant, advanced AI agents by helping them systematically identify and mitigate potential risks in agent behaviour.
