Bolt South Africa invited all Driver Partners observing Ramadan to a special Iftar dinner, and thanked high-performing and platinum Muslim drivers for their strength and discipline throughout the month, hosting them to break bread at Iftar events in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Breaking bread together at Iftar is a communal act that fosters unity and solidarity among Muslims. The two events demonstrated that, regardless of cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, or social standing, our driver partners came together as one community to share in the blessings of Ramadan, reinforcing the feeling of ummah (community) and strengthening bonds between Bolt and driver partners.
The Iftar dinner provided a safe space for open discussion and interaction while also allowing Muslim driver-partners observing Ramadan to congregate and break their fast together. The ride-hailing giant expressed gratitude to hardworking Bolt drivers still stepping on the pedal throughout Ramadan.
